 MOTIVATIONAL SHORT STORY    

*It is a strange windfall, that politics is an employment in India.  Sometime back, Philippine President Rodrigo Dutarte came to India and after addressing the Indian Parliament, he started meeting Indian MPs and asked Indian MPs what do you do ??  (He asked two or three times)*

 *Indian MPs did not understand what His Excellency the Philippines wanted to know.*

 *Then he changed the question and asked what is your income source?*

  *Almost all the MPs said that our income comes from politics, allowances, salary and pension are the only source of income.*

 *Rodrigo Dutarte * was surprised that in a developing democratic system with such a large number of MPs, Ministers, Presidents are dependent only on salary and allowances and this money is collected from the public in tax.*

 *He then smiled lightly and told the Indian MPs that he is a farmer by profession and the main source of his income is agriculture.  He told that he reaches the farm every day at 5 in the morning and after settling his farm work, comes back at 9 o'clock and prepares for the office of the President and from 10 o'clock, the President of the country performs his duties.*

यह आश्चर्यजनक है कि भारत में राजनीति एक रोजगार है। कुछ समय पहले फिलीपींस के राष्ट्रपति रोड्रिगो दुतेर्ते भारत आए और भारतीय संसद को संबोधित करने के बाद उन्होंने भारतीय सांसदों से मिलना शुरू किया और भारतीय सांसदों से पूछा कि आप क्या करते हैं ?? (उन्होंने दो-तीन बार पूछा)*

 *भारतीय सांसदों को यह समझ में नहीं आया कि फिलीपींस के महामहिम क्या जानना चाहते हैं।*

 *फिर उसने सवाल बदल दिया और पूछा कि तुम्हारी आमदनी का जरिया क्या है?*

  *लगभग सभी सांसदों ने कहा कि हमारी आय राजनीति से आती है, भत्ते, वेतन और पेंशन ही आय का एकमात्र स्रोत है।*

 *रोड्रिगो दुतेर्ते* को आश्चर्य हुआ कि इतनी बड़ी संख्या में सांसदों के साथ एक विकासशील लोकतांत्रिक व्यवस्था में, मंत्री, राष्ट्रपति केवल वेतन और भत्तों पर निर्भर हैं और यह पैसा जनता से टैक्स में वसूला जाता है।*

 *फिर वे हल्के से मुस्कराए और भारतीय सांसदों से कहा कि वे पेशे से किसान हैं और उनकी आय का मुख्य स्रोत कृषि है। उन्होंने बताया कि वह रोज सुबह 5 बजे खेत पहुंचते हैं और अपना खेत का काम निपटाने के बाद 9 बजे वापस आकर राष्ट्रपति के कार्यालय की तैयारी करते हैं और 10 बजे से देश के राष्ट्रपति अपना प्रदर्शन करते हैं।
