SWAMI VIVEKANAND AND HOLI BOOK "BHAGAVAD GITHA"

In the United States, a Christian had invited Swami Vivekananda to his home with the intention to mock the Swami's religiosity. He welcomed the Swami at home and showed the latter his book rack. He pointed towards a pile of books which were placed in such a way that the Bhagavad Githa was placed at the bottom of the pile, followed by other religious books and the Biblewas placed at the top of the pile.

He then questioned the Swami, "I usually do my reading here. Don't you like the way I arranged my books?"

The Swami replied, "I sure do. The books are very organized and arranged neatly. The ones on the top stand firmly because the foundation is exceedingly strong."

SWAMI VIVEKANAND AND HIS CLOTHS

Once swami Vivekananda was travelling. He was wearing this typical orange monk robe.
Someone asked him, "why don't you wear some good clothes?"

Swami replied, " For you it is the clothes that makes the gentleman, but for me It is the character that makes one."

BE MORAL AND BE BRAVE, SWAMI 'S MOTO

As a boy, Vivekananda was called Narendra.
Once in school, a teacher doubted narendra for a mischief he didnt did.
When naren denied it , the teacher became furious and gave him punishment. But still naren denied the mischief.

After some time, the teacher realised that what he did was wrong and error was of someone else's. He went to naren and apologized. Then after everything was played by respect and regard.

Naren came home and narrated the incident to his mother.
His mother said, " it doesn't matter if you got punished, but always do what is right and what is true. No matter what."

He followed this lesson throughout his life.

SWAMI VIVEKANAND AND MONKEYES

one time after visiting a temple, swami vivekananda was crossing a place which had a tank on one side and wall on the other.
there was a group of monkey not allowing swami to cross.
They started to snatch him and trying to get hold of his belongings.
Swami after some trying, started to run. But as Vivekananda ran, the monkeys got even bolder.
After failing to escape, Vivekananda heard a monk shouting, " Face the Brutes!"
Words had a magical impact on Vivekananda, he turned back, stood his ground and faced the monkeys.
As he did that, the monkeys their ways and ran away.
Vivekananda thanked the monk with traditional 'namaste'. The monk started walking his way and swami his.

Like those monkeys, there will be mischiefs, negative thoughts, trouble and difficult situations coming your way. Never run. Turn back and "Face the brutes". they will disappear.
